Burslem Pottery

We are also agents for Burslem Pottery in Stoke-On-Trent.
The hand make a range of "Grotesques" in the style of the Martin Brothers.
They are all very limited and each has its own character as there are never two of a kind, due to the very high temperatures they are fired at.
The high temperatures cause the glazes and dyes to run together uniquely for every piece. Love them or loath them, the old Martin brothers pieces can fetch over 20,000.00 pounds at auction.
So we see these as an investment for the future.

About the owners

Bill & Malar Fraser started Drakesbrook Antiques in 1995 after a spell in Bridgetown where the initial shop began and they have continued to grow the stock and their name with constant revitalisation and friendly country courtesy towards their customers.

They have featured several times in the Moorcroft' quarterly collectors newsletter for the great events they have put on during the Moorcroft releases.

They also sponsored Mr Eric Knoles to WA for the Antique Antics in conjunction with Alan Carter with great success.

Ever on the lookout for new and innovative ideas, you will more often than not find a range of quirky and slightly strange products for the collector of the unusual and eclectic which have included "talking mummies"! mixed in with the exquisite antique ranges.

The aim of our web site is just to whet your appetite and hopefully you will enquire as to availability of other items you may require.
We have an absolutely huge range of stock  that would be impossible to fit on this site! Check out the categories section on the left of page!
